My day just got a whole lot better! Got my new #Sevenly “Love is a Cure” tank in the mail. They partnered w/ #END7. Every tank sold provided 14 children in Africa w/ Meds that protect them from 7 deadly diseases for a year. Fits nicely w/ my African beads too. #end7 #Africa #loveisacure #shoppingwithacause (at The Quarterside)

Hookworm. It’s a parasite that endangers 1 in 3 women in developing countries. This puts moms, and their babies, at risk. The good news is that we have what we need to end this disease by 2020.
When we traveled to the Kono District of Sierra Leone, we met people like Sahr Gando who wake up each day to work a job that constantly puts his health in danger. We were shocked to see the number of diamond miners who suffered from schistosomiasis from working in infected water. But with the help and outreach of health care workers like Susan Mathews, Sierra Leoneans get the medicines they need to stay healthy. See the story!
